The Inclusion Lab: Co-Creating Connected, Inclusive Learning Environments
- Inclusion
- Social-emotional learning
- Multilingualism
Belonging starts with relationships: shared activities around feelings, empathy and languages help shape a classroom where every child has a place.
What it is about
Here, inclusion is not an add-on but a question of how people live together. Children learn to notice feelings, see things from others' point of view and listen to each other.
Children's home languages also find their place in the classroom – a sign that every child is welcome with everything they bring.
Primera's role
Primera supports educators in shaping an inclusive learning environment where children feel accepted, develop social and emotional skills and can build positive relationships.
How we use it
In our training, we focus on belonging. Educators organise cooperative activities, talk with children about feelings and practise listening to each other and seeing things from another's point of view. They include each child respectfully and strengthen relationships within the group.
