Primera – shaping education together

Primera is an independent nonprofit association in Austria, not a government body. We work directly with teachers, schools and kindergartens, connecting research with educational experience.

Mission

Together with teachers and educational teams, we develop and test methods, materials and courses. We make good practice visible and provide free access to learning opportunities and materials.

Our Vision

We imagine schools and kindergartens as lively learning laboratories where children explore, experiment and learn to understand the world around them.

Learning together in the age of AI

AI can generate teaching materials quickly. Whether they lead to good learning only becomes clear in practice. In professional learning communities, teachers therefore examine together: what works, for whom and under what conditions?

They try out ideas, observe learning, share experiences and adapt methods to their groups. A collection of materials becomes shared educational knowledge.

Primera organizes twelve pan-European digital education conferences each year, one every month, alongside at least eight webinars that bring together educators, experts and diverse educational perspectives. Insights and experience gained through European projects enrich our training and consulting services.

Through networks and professional communities managed by our association members, we connect with more than 30,000 educators across Europe.

Primera is also a member of Education Lab, a collaborative space that fosters knowledge sharing, professional exchange and innovation in education.
