Erasmus+ · International Video Calls

Kids Go Europe

  • Digital education
  • Intercultural learning
  • Early childhood

Kindergarten children in Austria and Germany meet by video, introduce themselves and tell each other about their everyday lives.

What it is about

Here the screen is a window to other children. Two groups from two countries arrange a call, wave to each other, show their group room and ask questions.

Children experience what digital media can be good for – and that children elsewhere live quite similar, yet slightly different lives.

Primera's role

Primera promotes international cooperation in early education, supporting educational professionals in using digital communication and in exchanges between kindergartens in different countries.

How we use it

In our training, we explore exchanges between kindergartens. Educators introduce children to European languages and cultures and, where international partners are in place, guide age-appropriate video calls between groups. Children tell each other about their daily lives and share experiences.
